At first, the sight of an elderly man lying with arms outstretched in the middle of the road in the pouring rain may be an alarming one, because something might have happened to him.

But as it turns out, when TikToker @elijahmikaelson_og, who was delivering food at Ang Mo Kio at that time, kindly asked the uncle if he was all right, the older man simply said he “just wanted feel the rain.”

The video has since gone viral, getting almost 200,000 views since it was posted.

In it, the elderly man, dressed in a blue shirt and pants, is seen all by himself lying face upward in the pouring rain. @elijahmikaelson_og set the 15-second clip to Ed Sheeran’s Photograph, a love song.

In the comments, the TikToker told the story of how he saw the uncle in the rain.

Uncle’s rather mysterious behaviour caused netizens to speculate about why he lay on the road amid the pouring rain.

One netizen commented on how fun it is to feel the rain, and the TikToker agreed.

One joked that the man is actually Uncle Raymond, the Singaporean famous for getting different people to dance with him in different parts of the city. Unfortunately, last week Uncle Raymond could not dance as freely as he wanted to.

This led to someone else calling the man Uncle Laymond.
