A Filipino woman named Queen Lexinda Royupa took to TikTok to document a recent incident that moved her to tears. While she and her husband were taking photos at Changi Beach Park, they saw an elderly man quickly making his way to the water.
“Unfortunately, he went down so fast then hit his head on the rocks and fell (in)to the water,” and the couple quickly went to his aid. They were able to calm him down and tended to bruises on his head, ears, and arms.
When Ms Royupa asked why he was in such a hurry, he told them, “I want to give flowers to my wife who died ten years ago,” which caused the TikToker to burst into tears.

In her latest TikTok on Thursday (Sept 15), Ms Royupa posted about the uncle again, writing “He truly missed his wife so much. I knew how Uncle felt being alone and missing the love of his life that’s now his angel.”

She added more photos from their time together, adding that the Uncle had even shown the couple a photo of his wife.
The uncle also asked the couple to fulfil his purpose of throwing the flowers into the water.
The three ended up talking for some time until the man felt better.
Ms Royupa wrote that the uncle thanked them, even to the point of telling them, “I might get drown if you weren’t here. You are very good.”
She reflected that there had been a higher purpose for her taking a leave that day, and wrote, “To his wife: He loves you so dearly.”
“True love never dies,” she added.
Many netizens were as moved by the man’s story as Ms Royupa was. 
Others thanked the couple for helping the older man.
