Kim Jong Un impersonator takes a walk in Singapore two weeks before historic summit

Howard X, a known impersonator of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, took a walk around the streets of central Singapore on Sunday, May 27. He was filmed shaking hands and posing for selfies with Singaporean residents on Sunday afternoon.

He said that he did this to with the purpose of wishing that the historic summit between the North Korean leader and the President of the United States, Donald Trump, would be a success.

The latest news concerning the summit is that the two leaders may be joined by South Korean President Moon Jae-in. The South Korean President is hopeful that among the items discussed at the summit will be a definitive end to the Korean War.

The historic meeting is scheduled to take place in Singapore on June 12.

Last week, Mr. Trump announced that he had called off the summit, citing “open hostility” from North Korea. But by the weekend, due to diplomatic operations from South Korea that resulted in meetings at the border village of Panmunjom involving all three countries, the summit seemed to get back on track.

Delegates from the US and North Korea arrived in Singapore on Monday, May 28, to discuss logistics and security for the summit.

It is not the first time that Howard X has impersonated the North Korean leader. He also made an appearance as Kim Jong Un in this year’s winter olympics.
