Car driver arrested for causing death of motorcyclist in fatal Woodlands Ave 12 accident

A 32-year-old driver has been arrested in connection with the fatal traffic accident that occurred at the junction of Woodlands Ave 12 and Ave 1 yesterday evening, when a car jumped into the opposite lane after mounting the central divider.

30-year-old motorcyclist, Khairman Mohamed Sabari, was killed when the car landed directly on him.

Another motorcyclist who was riding behind him, along with the passengers of the car – a woman and a one-year-old infant – were injured and conveyed to the hospital.

The driver has been arrested for causing death by a negligent act.

Khairman’s wife, Elina Sabari, wrote on Facebook that her husband’s body will return to their home at noon today:

“We will leave for Muslim cemetery (pusara) after Zuhur prayers, at abt 2.30pm,

“Please forgive any of his transgressions against you in this world, and if he has any debts still outstanding, please approach me personally. We pray that Allah (SWT) will shower His mercy on this man, and grant him the highest level of Paradise – Jannat Ul-Firdaus – and give his family patience in this difficult time.”
