The production manufacturing facility will leverage on Dyson’s already-existed manpower in motor and battery industry in Singapore as well as the nation’s expertise in Research & Development, manufacturing, automation, and access to supply chains.

The Singapore’s project itself will be a two-story facility, looking at completion by 2020.

“Choosing Singapore as the assembly facility of the car is based on supply chains, access to markets, and the availability of the expertise that will help us achieve our ambitions. We will begin construction in December and it will be completed in 2020, meeting our project timeline,” said Jim Rowan, CEO of Dyson.
