Engagement rumors abound as Priyanka Chopra hides a diamond ring from the prying eyes of paparazzi in India

Are they or aren’t they? Rumors that Indian actress and beauty queen Priyanka Chopra and US singer and actor Nick Jonas are engaged are flying around as Ms. Chopra was seen in Delhi hiding a diamond ring from the paparazzi in New Delhi on Monday, August 6.

Perhaps the couple, who only started dating a few months ago, are not quite ready to reveal their status to the world.

Ms. Chopra arrived at the Indira Gandhi International airport in New Delhi on Monday, after having attended Mr. Jonas’ concert in Singapore. Paparazzi caught up with her as she was walking out of the airport, and in one video she is clearly seen slipping a ring off of one finger, and then putting her hand into her pocket.

This is not the first time that the paparazzi’s eager eyes have caught Ms. Chopra taking a ring off her finger and hiding it. Last month, when coming to India for Shonali Bose’s The Sky is Pink, she was seen removing her Tiffany diamond ring.

People magazine reported a few weeks ago that Mr. Jonas had the Tiffany store in New York closed temporarily so that he could buy Ms. Chopra a ring in private, and that he supposedly proposed to her in London, where they were on vacation, when she celebrated her 36th birthday on July 18.
