Jackie Chan and ‘Project X’ crew saved from massive mudslide

Jackie Chan said in his blogpost that he was caught in the middle of a “massive mudslide” while filming his next film, “Project X”. The 64-year-old Hong Kong action said the “weather suddenly changed and our crew were caught in a massive mudslide”. He and his crew are filming “Project X” in an undisclosed location in China, but it is believed that the incident happened in the Yunnan province of the country.

In sharing several pictures of the mudslide, Chan said: “Today, we started shooting on location. The weather suddenly changed and our crew were caught in a massive mudslide! A few of our production trucks were stuck in the river of rushing mud. Many of the crew became frightened because it was so sudden. Luckily, some large hook trucks come to our rescue and helped tow our production trucks to safety.”

He added: “I’d like to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt “thank you” to all the people who came to help us. And also “sorry” to all the crew members who were frightened by the mudslide. Our production team will learn from this experience; be more alert to the weather conditions, do our best to protect our crew members and ensure that working conditions are absolutely safe. Thanks to everyone for your hard work!”

‘Project X’ is being made with a budget of $80 million. Jackie Chan stars as a legendary demon hunter tracking down the beasts that enter the human dimension, assisted by a lawman protege (John Cena) and a motley group of friendly monsters. The movie is expected to be released in 2019.
