Man says his girlfriend left him for being “too nice,” then ended up with someone abusive, complaining that the new guy doesn’t treat her respectfully

After being dumped for being “too nice” a man took to social media trying to figure out what exactly women wanted from men.

In an anonymous post to popular confessions page SGWhispers, the man wrote that his girlfriend who broke up with him a few years ago left him because he was “too nice and too good” for her. He asked girls to explain why his ex did that to him because according to him, he was not “”creepy” nice. I’m just being me. And I treated her well. We didn’t argue or fight for any small reasons. I never raise my voice towards her, and whatever other qualities that is deemed “nice”. You know like care for her, cooked for her, supported her emotionally, mentally, financially, etc”.

When she left, he did not want to force her to stay so he let her go. In his post, he then asked what exactly it was that girls wanted out of relationships. The man wrote that his ex-girlfriend ended up with someone physically abusive and had bruises on her face and hands.

“She complained that her new bf didn’t treat her with respect. But…when she was with me… That’s what I gave to her…and she didn’t want that? I don’t get it”, he wrote. The man clarified that it was not about him trying to be with his ex-girlfriend and said that he was with someone else who appreciated him.

“But I’m just posting here asking about the kind of girl my ex is cause nowadays, her kind is appearing more and more. And it makes me curious really. Would appreciate any answers from anyone here. Thank you for reading”, he wrote.

Netizens who commented on his post wrote that the fault lay with his ex-girlfriend, who probably did not know what she wanted in life.
