Proton and Geely to sign definitive agreement

A definitive agreement will be signed by DRB-HICOM Berhad the maker of Proton and the Chinese buyer Zhejiang Geely Holding Group today morning.

Li Shufu, Chairman of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group and Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak will attend the event.

During the event, the Chinese automaker will unveil the Geely Boyue SUV for a first public viewing in Malaysia.

The SUV will be tagged as the new Proton sports utility vehicle.

Geely recently said it will give Proton access to its Geely Boyue SUV platform, as part of its deal with the Chinese automaker.
