‘Scrubs’ writer Eric Weinberg, accused of predatory sexual assaults

Eric Weinberg has been a writer, and producer in Hollywood since the 1990s, working on Scrubs, Californication, and Anger Management, among other projects, but he is now accused of sexual assault and scheming to lure his victims to his house.

At least eight women have now accused him of sexual assault, and he is currently facing 20 charges, including rape, following his arrest in July (he is currently free on $3.25 million bail).

A new investigation from The Hollywood Reporter describes Weinberg’s alleged pattern of sexual assault, with some claims dating back decades, says U.S. media portals.

From a prolific screenwriter, Weinberg is now seen as Hollywood’s most prolific predator.

The writer-producer was arrested last month on 20 counts of sexual assault, including rape. For the first time, his alleged victims spoke publicly about their experiences and how they came together to seek justice.

In 2019, Weinberg approached one Avian Anderson in a parking lot. She was 29 at that time.

The 58-year-old then introduced himself as a writer-producer for the hit show Scrubs, as well as an amateur photographer. She recalls him asking if she modelled and wanted to shoot with him.

He brought her to his bedroom and performed oral sex on her with the excuses that he wanted to give her genitals what he called a “glistening effect” for the photos.

As a stand-up comedian as well, she brought some silly props along with her to the writer’s house, including a “realistic bird head.” “I told him exactly what I wanted and what I didn’t want,” she says.

“But he had other things in mind.”

According to her, the shoot began in a room that appeared to belong to a child. Weinberg instructed her to undress and pose on top of a bed and began “adjusting” Anderson’s breasts while photographing her on the bed, she claims.

But she did not want a ‘sexy’ shootout she says and started to crack jokes that made the man uneasy, and he shot back at her, saying:

“Just shut the fuck up, Avian, quit making this a joke.”

Anderson recalls Weinberg lashing out at her. “Why do you always have to fight?”

One thing led to another, and soon enough, Weinberg was fondling her before telling her, “Just tell me when to stop.”

She claims that she didn’t have time to react or respond before she felt him repeatedly insert his finger into her anus.

After this, she allowed him to bring her to his bedroom and performed oral sex on her with the excuse that he wanted to give her genitals what he called a “glistening effect” for the photos.

She claims she told him she was asexual at the time and throughout the encounter. She claims she performed oral sex on Weinberg to deflect his repeated suggestions of anal sex.

When it was done, the writer asked her whether she will go to the police and report him for ‘rape’, to which she replied ‘no’.
